OkRxGLP-1 Prior Authorization Service for Canadian Clinics

Your patients get their GLP-1 approved. Your staff never touches the form.

You write the script. We do the whole prior auth - coverage check, patient calls, Special Authority forms, submission, payer follow-up. Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound.

Free for 30 days. After that the patient pays for the service, the same as any form - nothing ever comes out of your pocket.

Why your staff goes home late

GLP-1 demand exploded. Your admin staff didn't. The paperwork is crushing your clinic.

Your clinic isn't slow. The system is. And GLP-1s made it 3x worse overnight.

19 hrsper doc. Every week.

Gone to paperwork.

What independent Canadian family doctors lose to admin every week. Half a clinical day. Stolen. Per doctor. GLP-1 PAs are the fastest-growing chunk of that pile.

340%GLP-1 demand increase since 2021

Patient demand is through the roof.

Every patient wants Ozempic or Wegovy. Every insurer requires a PA. Your staff is drowning in the same form, over and over, for a drug class that did not exist at this volume three years ago.

Every GLP-1 PA you fax is a regulator-reportable incident waiting to happen. Sooner or later - it will.

0EMRs handle this natively

Your EMR was not built for this.

OSCAR. Accuro. TELUS Med Access. PS Suite. None of them automate GLP-1 prior authorizations. The work falls on your staff. Every time.

Source: Vendor capability review

Every GLP-1 PA that piles up on your staff's desk is a patient who may never start the drug. The script gets written, the prior auth never gets done, and they walk out without the treatment they came in for. You never hear about it, and you never earn a dollar for the work either way.

How Autopilot works

Four steps. One short call. Zero setup hassle.

No software to install. No EMR integration required to start. Book the demo and your first GLP-1 PA can be processing the same week.

  1. 01

    Qualify in 60 seconds.

Independent clinic. ON / BC / AB. You prescribe GLP-1s. That's it.

  2. 02

Book a 15-minute demo - we set you up on the call.

Pick a slot that works. On the call we spin up your secure standalone web portal and train your lead staff member - no install, no IT ticket. Your first 30 days are free.

  3. 03

    Refer your first GLP-1 patient.

Ozempic. Wegovy. Mounjaro. Zepbound. New patient you've prescribed a GLP-1? Refer it - fast. We handle the rest - coverage check, patient contact, form completion, submission, payer follow-up.

  4. 04

    Never touch GLP-1 paperwork again.

Your staff refers, we process, your prescriber reviews and signs the finished form. Patients pay for the service through us and you keep it. That's the whole workflow from here on out.

Free for 30 days. Cancel anytime and keep the files we already finished.

Common questions

Questions clinics ask. Straight answers.

How it works, what it costs, and who pays for what.

How fast is it?
Your team refers and we take it from there. 85% of patients have their coverage determined the same day they consent and provide their drug-plan info, and PAs go out the same day.
What does it cost us?
Free for your first 30 days. After that the prior auth is a service the patient pays for, the same as any uninsured form - you keep 80%, we keep 20%, and nothing comes out of the clinic's pocket. Cancel anytime.
Is charging patients allowed?
Yes. Charging for uninsured services like form completion is standard for clinics and pharmacies across Canada. You set a fair fee, the patient agrees to it up front, and we handle the rest.
Do you take pharma money or steer scripts?
No - we follow the clinic's policy. Patients fill wherever they choose. We take no pharmacy commissions, we don't sell data, and we don't make a cent on the prescription itself.
Which drugs?
Every GLP-1 that needs a prior auth - Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, Trulicity, Rybelsus.
What if we don't like it?
Cancel anytime. The first 30 days are free, so you see it work before a single patient is charged, and you keep every file we finished.

Book a 15-minute demo and we'll answer the rest.

Data and security

“What do you see? What do you store?”

Only what you send us. Nothing else. We don't have access to your EMR unless you choose to integrate - and even then, only for the patient your team selects.

Day 1 - no integration needed

Most clinics start with the standalone portal. Your staff refers the patient directly. No EMR connection. No IT ticket. If you want to integrate later, you can - but it's never required.

  1. 01 - You choose what we see.

Nothing syncs without your team clicking go.

Standalone portal: your team uploads only the files they choose. One patient, one form, one referral at a time.EMR-integrated (optional): syncs only the patient chart your team selects when they initiate a referral. No background scraping. No bulk sync. No cron jobs. Nothing fires until your team initiates it and the patient consents.

  2. 02 - Built with your EMR vendor.

We partnered with Accuro to do this the right way.

OAuth 2.0. Scoped tokens. Read-only. Their security team reviewed it. This is not a third-party screen-scraper bolted on after the fact - it's a sanctioned integration built in collaboration with QHR.OSCAR integration also available. Don't want either? The standalone portal works identically without any EMR connection.

  3. 03 - Encrypted. Audited. Compliant.

SOC 2 Type II. End-to-end encryption. Audit log on request.

All data encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We process only what's needed to complete and submit your PA form. OkRx does not sell patient data, does not train models on it, and does not share identifiable records with anyone other than the insurer receiving the submission. PIPEDA / PHIPA / PIPA compliant.

One-line summary for your IT lead

Standalone portal (no EMR access) or OAuth 2.0 auth-code flow with per-record scoped tokens - read-only - no background polling - no bulk export - SOC 2 Type II - TLS 1.3 - AES-256 - clinic-facing audit log on request.
